Distance by jurisdiction

Our intended mileage view organizes travel information around the vehicle, reporting period, and jurisdiction so teams can review how a summary was built.

  • Vehicle and trip context
  • Jurisdiction-level distance
  • Records that need clarification

Fuel with supporting records

The proposed fuel view keeps purchase information and its supporting documentation connected for review before amounts are used in reporting.

  • Purchase date and jurisdiction
  • Fuel type and quantity
  • Supporting purchase documentation

Make the questions
easier to find.

The planned workflow gives unresolved items a place in the review process. Explore two examples of records that deserve a closer look.

Review needed

A trip needs jurisdiction detail.

The example trip contains total distance, but the jurisdiction breakdown is incomplete. Review the source trip records before including an allocation in the quarterly summary.

Quarterly preparation

Organize. Reconcile. Review.

Ankor's proposed role is to help prepare the information behind the return. Filing and payment remain separate steps with your base jurisdiction.

01 / ORGANIZE

Set the reporting scope.

Bring the relevant vehicles, reporting period, and fuel type into the same review.

02 / RECONCILE

Check the supporting records.

Compare summaries with their underlying distance and fuel information. Resolve omissions and discrepancies.

03 / REVIEW

Prepare for the return.

Have the responsible person review the figures against the current filing instructions before submission.

Reporting essentials

Understand what goes
into the quarter.

Is jurisdiction mileage enough to prepare an IFTA return?

No. Returns also use fuel information. Total distance, taxable distance, total fuel, and eligible tax-paid fuel are distinct reporting figures. Check your base jurisdiction's instructions for the required treatment.

Are fuel purchases the same as fuel used in a jurisdiction?

No. Where fuel is purchased and where it is consumed can differ. Do not treat purchase gallons as a direct measure of fuel consumed in that jurisdiction.

When are IFTA returns due?

Returns are generally quarterly, due on the last day of the month following the quarter. Confirm the applicable deadline, including weekend, holiday, or special adjustments, with your base jurisdiction.

Will Ankor file or pay IFTA taxes for me?

Automatic filing and payment are not part of the product direction presented here. The proposed workspace focuses on organizing records and supporting quarterly preparation.

Is Ankor IFTA Reporting available now?

It is being planned as part of the ANKOR ecosystem. These interfaces illustrate the intended direction rather than a working tax-reporting service. Data connections and reporting formats have not been finalized.
